HOUSTON, TEXAS—American National employees in Texas, Missouri, and New York came together to honor the victims and heroes of September 11th by packing meals in partnership with 9/11 Day, the non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring acts of service and remembrance. This year,

"Volunteering is an extension of our company promise to be a source of certainty for our policy holders. Our employees enjoy having the opportunity to be a part of a great program and especially being able to support the local food banks."
- In Texas, 35 American National employees joined over 1,000 other volunteers at the Fertitta Center to pack over 300,000 meals for those in need.
- In Springfield, 120 employees volunteered their time to pack 30,000 meals to be donated to Ozarks Food Harvest.
- In Albany, 70 employees contributed to the cause by packing 20,000 meals destined for the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York.
9/11 Day's annual September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance encourages individuals and organizations across the country to perform good deeds in tribute to the victims, survivors, first responders, and military members affected by the 9/11 attacks. By participating in these volunteer projects, American National employees have not only honored the memory of those lost but have also exemplified the spirit of unity and compassion that arose in the aftermath of the tragedy.
